Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him become a part of mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. The artist released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the rank of eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. He collaborated together with Noriel to record Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He later that year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he was in a duet with TINI for her hit online single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical family, his older brother and mother are both musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory part of his life. He began learning to play the saxophone, guitar the ukulele, and keyboard when he was when he was a child. His first career choice was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian was able to convince him to sing with an instructor from a Cuban teacher. The result was learning that he possessed a talent for singing changed the trajectory of his life.
